We open up the logistics project to other sectors and target groups to ensure an optimal logistics flow.<\/p>

It is therefore important that the consortium clearly states its mission and vision vis-\u00e0-vis companies and organisations, the City of Ghent and De Vlaamse Waterweg and other stakeholders.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Traffic congestion, introduction of Low Emission Zones, circulation plans, urban expansion, time locks for transport in and out of the city, lack of parking spaces... are forcing all suppliers, manufacturers and traders to look for alternatives to bring their goods in and out of the city.<\/p>

As a consortium, individual members are working towards their own objective, but together we aim to build a logistics platform and distribution centre and hubs that will supply the end customers of the consortium members in a sustainable way.<\/p>

Bringing experience and know-how from building materials traders and other partners from other sectors into a consortium will strengthen the basic values and know-how of individual members.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We carry the message of helping to build an environmentally friendly and technically efficient logistics system to supply Ghent's companies and customers from a new city distribution centre to be set up, following our values of neutrality, collegiality, just-in-time, professionalism and correctness.<\/p>

Wherever possible, we are committed to the 17 universal goals formulated by the UN.<\/p>

We aim to maximise CO2 neutrality in every process and logistics flow. To this end, we therefore work, wherever possible, with electric propulsion of the boats deployed by UWL in the Ghent region.
